Vypress Tonecast is high-fidelity audio translation software for local area networks. It allows you easily setup and begins your own 'radio' broadcasting over an existing LAN infrastructure without investing into expensive additional hardware or complex heaped software systems. Vypress Tonecast contains two separated parts: small and simple clients? software with very little computer resources footprint and easy to use server part that performs real-time audio compression and broadcasts it over a network. The software was designed to be easily to deploy even by non-professional users, so it has no tons of advances, nobody used features but contains high performance compression and optimization algorithms that results into crystal quality sound with low-level network bandwidth requirements. Vypress Tonecast uses real-time, Assembler powered MPEG-2 coders/decoders, so you will see no dramatic traffic increase even on a 10 Mbit Ethernet network with CD-quality sound translation.
Latest version adds easy way to pick sound source device (for example, CD-ROM audio, FM or TV-tuner, or Wave Out Mix) as well as many internal improvements. This new version also allows to adjust internal buffers size for performance tuning and comes with WinAMP plug-ins.
