V: The File Viewer is a combination file viewer and directory browser for Windows 95/NT. It is designed to be fast and compact, handle large files with ease, and support hex file viewing. Extensive printing functionality is included, as is support for two-up printing. For those who prefer to work in DOS boxes, V provides a fast and convenient way to view files: just type in the filename, and the file appears right in front of you. The program has support for exceptionally large files, the option to send files as e-mail attachments, support for EBCDIC files, improved line wrapping, and improved integration with Windows Explorer. Version 2002 introduces an Explorer-like tree and support for CAB, TAR and GZIP files.
