This free download lets individuals use their PCs to participate in major science projects, including searching for the cure for cancer. Not only can you actually participate in significant projects, you can literally watch as your computer crunches the numbers and analyzes the components of DNA via a graphical interface on an optional screensaver. The Agent runs unobtrusively in the background without disturbing other regular computer usage, using the spare power (CPUs) that the computer isn't using. Also, while the PC does the computational work, the program registers sweepstakes entries for you and gives you the opportunity to win cool prizes.
