From the developer: "TspEstimator 2.0 is a retirement Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) estimation tool for Federal Employees and Military Personnel. This software program was created to provide a means of generating a list of TSP estimations for each future month of your federal/military career. Additionally, federal/military personnel can use TspEstimator to estimate how long their TSP balance will last into retirement. The goal of this program is to produce estimates that are as accurate as possible, allowing the user to experiment with different configuration settings and view the long term results of any changes to their TSP participation. This program will allow you to obtain estimates which can help determine useful information; such as: Am I contributing enough to the TSP to attain the TSP balance that I desire at retirement? How will interfund transfers affect my TSP balance in the future? How will changes to my allocation of TSP contributions affect my TSP balance in the future? How will changes to my personal contributions to TSP affect my TSP balance in the future? If I take loans from the TSP, how will this affect my TSP balance in the future? Will I have enough funds in the TSP to obtain a loan for my child's college expenses, a new car, or a home? If I make withdrawals from the TSP, how will this affect my TSP balance in the future? What will be the estimated balance of my TSP at any age during my career as a federal civil servant? What will be my estimated monthly retirement payments from my TSP account? How long will my TSP retirement payments last once I am retired, based on life expectancy or a fixed monthly retirement payment?"
