PentaZip is a compression software program and file viewer. It has earned all three Microsoft logos: Designed for Windows 98/NT, Certified for Windows 2000 Professional, and Designed for Windows XP. It features ZGB, a 64-bit format (for NTFS-based systems such as XP, NT, and 2000) to overcome the 4GB limit of the ZIP algorithm. Formats supported include JPEG, JPEG 2000, DWG, DXF, DOC, XLS, GIF, MP3, MPEG, and AVI. PentaZip is compatible with almost every compression format including PKZIP 2.04g, ZIP64, and older ZIP versions such as 1.0 and 1.1. Other compression formats include ZOO, RAR, ARJ, ARC, CAB, LHA/LZH, TAR, GZIP, Z, BH, JAR, and ACE. You can split self-extracting and ZIP archives. No additional software is required. You can encode and decode e-mail attachments in UUencode, MIME64, XXencode, and BinHex. Features include built-in scripting and a scheduler.
