Elgr sits between Outlook Express and the Internet, checking e-mail as it is received. A lot of people in the world do not write English e-mail but use their native language (French, German, Spanish, etc.). Nevertheless they receive English e-mail and it is always spam. Elgr identifies English e-mail and triggers Outlook Express to immediately move it to the "Deleted Items" folder. Elgr works as soon as it is installed without any configuration. However, to be able to receive English e-mail from selected senders the user may want to maintain the "My friends" list. Because spam is a moving target that requires program changes, an automatic update mechanism is included.
