The DuoSync application is used to synchronize Microsoft SQL Server 2000 databases. Duosync is well suited for mobile applications, remote offices, and/or POS applications. If you are a developer, Duosync can be a great addition to your package since it only requires that the end user double click to synchronize.
Record information that is inserted, updated, or deleted from each database is exchanged during synchronization. For example, database A's changes will be sent to database B and database B's changes will be sent to database A. Duosync transports record information over any TCP/IP network.
Although the DuoSync application requires that Microsoft SQL Server or MSDE be installed, it does not depend on any other application in order to function. Data can be synchronized in the background without having the front-end application open. Users can close their desktop applications as DuoSync performs scheduled or manual synchronizations.
