DocuCabinet is a virtual filing cabinet document management software for home and businesses. Paper or image documents can be scanned, captured, indexed, and archived in a structured and organized manner similar to a traditional paper filing cabinet with drawers, folders and tab labels. Filed documents will be assigned with meaningful name, user-defined indexes, notes, value, and even date to remind you of future action. Archived documents are classified using pre-defined categories together with associated indexes, and this information can be used later for searching or grouping the documents. Documents can be retrieved very quickly and images can be printed, emailed or faxed out conveniently. Incoming faxes are collected and stored in DocuCabinet without the need to print on papers. The whole set of document repository can be transferred into CD-ROM for permanent read-only archives. DocuCabinet comes with a virtual printer driver to capture printed images directly from any Windows programs such as wordprocessor, spreadsheet, web pages etc. and then store as documents. Images can also be imported from existing files or pasted from Windows clipboard.
