Dinow is a decentralized groupware and information platform based on Peer-to-Peer technologies for encrypted file-sharing. Core functionalities include: flexible setup and administration of teams and workgroups, full text search engine, file name and keyword search, easy publishing to group members, chat and privacy through encryption. Dinow is ideally suited for searching in own documents, searching for documents and information in a larger organization or across organizational boundaries in usegroups and communities or just sharing pictures among your friends and family. Dinow works like P2P-applications as Gnutella or Kazaa, but it is business-aligned due to group functionalities and strong encryption.
Nearly all common formats are supported, e.g. MS Office and OpenOffice formats, picture formats like jpeg and all text-based formats (even searching for text fragments in java/javadocs). Ideal tool for mobile teams due to decentralized security.
