DeDupe, a duplicate-file finder utility, assists users in analyzing duplicate files and deletes them by increasing the hard disk space. Duplicate files can be safely deleted, moved to a folder, or compressed into ZIP files. DeDupe uses a simple Windows Explorer-type interface to facilitate the file-checking process. The search for the duplicate files is fast, and it checks multiple drives, including removable media devices such as floppy, Zip, USB, Jaz, and mapped-network drives. The content match allows you to quickly identify duplicate files. A user also can perform an automatic duplicate check, if the total available space is 10 percent less than the drive space. You can schedule the program to duplicate check, and view system information along with the top 20 folders occupying the disk space. The date format, which was U.S.-centric, now accepts the system date format.
Version 1.6.3 is accessible with different user logins on a single PC.
