DIY DataRecovery DiskPatch (previously RepoMan) is a program for recovery from data that was lost due to damage to MBR, partition table and boot sector corruption. DiskPatch can recover data even if it was not run prior to the dataloss. DiskPatch repairs your disk rather than extracting data from it. The program runs from DOS so can even be used when a PC fails to boot. Apart from recovery the program allows you to take preventive measures like backing up the MBR, partition tables (all!), boot sectors, FAT, Root and even the Windows 2000/XP LDM database. Backups protect you from deletion or loss of one or more partitions/(dynamic)volumes. Other options are low level formatting an entire disk or selected partition, perform a surface scan on entire disk or selected partition and cloning a (damaged) disk to a healthy one.
