DB Mail is a utility to send electronic e-mails, faxes, pages, cell phone text messages, network pop-ups, interruptible administrative alerts directly from all major database systems. These messages can be sent from both internal database programs such as procedures, triggers, etc… and from all database applications capable to execute SQL commands. DB Mail supports Oracle, DB2, Microsoft SQL Server and Sybase databases. DB Mail provides interfaces to all 3 major e-mail protocols and systems including SMTP, MAPI, and Lotus Notes. E-mails and other message types may contain optional attachments. All message types are truly cross-platforms as they support HTM or XML as internal message format. DB Mail provides full compatibility with all host Operation Systems on which the supported databases can run, including but not limited to Windows NT, UNIX, Linux, VMS, OS/390, z/OS.
