ClassRoom Windows is a freeware grade book program designed to help teachers organize daily activities and keep track of grades. This teacher tool can help elementary through graduate school instructors manage their class records and compute grades. In the program, users can create class (or subject) files; enter and edit class rosters, including ID, comments, and home-contact information; enter and edit grades and attendance; view and print students' records in many different and useful ways; compute and print student averages and final grades; and view and print statistics. Seating charts and parent letters can be generated as well. A PDF documentation file and context-sensitive help are provided. Features include a wizard, a sample file, and a roadmap to make the program friendlier for new users.

Version 6.0 enhances Windows XP compatibility. In the new version, users may save forms/reports created by ClassRoom Windows to text files. A new routine to send e-mails to students and parents is also included. Version 6.0 also fixes up certain screens and printouts, and allows additional options for those choosing to make up grades using 'types'. In addition, all features from previous ClassRoom Windows intermediate updates (5.01 - 5.50) are incorporated and refined. These include the following: the ability to print grades for multiple selected students at one time; the option of printing the 'roll book' by Name or ID; greater compatibility with non-USA Regional Date Settings; further enhancement of the Total Points System of Grading options; unlimited number of grades and students; a full daily attendance module; print preview; enhanced statistics, including comparisons of multiple classes; an enhanced graph of students' progress; an enhanced Roll Book view and print feature, with new options for sorting and printing by grade type; an enhanced seating chart; and the ability to password-protect any or all class data files. Also, grades can now be classified according to type (test, quiz, homework, subject area, etc).
