The Chilkat Mail component makes it possible to send and retrieve email from your application or web site without using a program such as Microsoft Outlook or Eudora. Developers can construct and send email from their ASP, Visual Basic, C++, Delphi, or Foxpro code in very simple ways. Because it is built on COM technology, and is fully automation-compliant, it can be called from any language that supports COM.

The new version 5.2.1 adds the following features: display HTML or plain-text email in a Web browser; better multibyte character encoding support; read-timeout property; keeps your application from hanging if the POP3 server stops responding; zip all attachments into a single zip attachment; expand/replace zip attachments with the zip file contents; bit AES symmetric encryption/decryption of all message parts; convert to/from Chilkat S/MIME objects.
