Carnoy is an easy-to-use image analysis program developed to help scientists carry out measurements on digital images, especially on micrographs obtained from light or electron microscopes. Carnoy employs a unique one-click calibration option that enables users to click on a scale bar, enter its length, and have measurements calculated on micrographs accordingly. For micrographs that do not have a scale bar (e.g. from a light microscope), you can specify calibration values for every magnification you use. After this calibration, you can add a scale bar to those LM pictures. Carnoy measures the length, perimeter and surface area of regular and irregular objects.
