Amnesia is a multithreaded newsreader for text and binary messages. It allows you to view discussion in threaded mode or binary groups in file mode. It detects duplicate files, missing segments, or missing images in a series and displays that information visually. It includes downloads of yEnc, UUencode, and MIME files and has image and movie playback capabilities. It supports multiple servers and multiple connections per server. It can post messages and files, with files automatically segmented and posted individually or as series of related files. Also, Amnesia has a global search feature that makes finding files on Usenet easy.
